However this is as I said clinical, and many disciplines merge with one another and some merge with applications not mentioned above.

No design job is to small for me, and unlike large businesses I will not charge a three hour minimum, or even a one hour minimum. It's a little like a phone contract, if I was working for you for 25 minutes, then that is what I will charge for. If its a really small job, maybe we will just call it a pint.

Joking aside, when it comes to money I keep it simple. If the job is more than a days work, I will take a brief, face to face or over the phone, and quote a lump sum, which is paid on completion to your satisfaction. If it is less than a day then I charge by the hour....or minute, which ever is applicable.
